Wondering Ai weiwei

I got the link of a documentary film named NEVER SORRY which had launched 1 year ago.a friend of mine who works with Chinese contemporary art business sent me this link and who is eager to know my feedback about it.you may ask why he is so interested in this film?the reason is not only he couldn't watch it online in China since this film related to an controversial International Chinese artist Ai weiwei but also he calls himself one of the Chinese cultural elite who has right to know what exactly happened in Chinese culture circles instead of the make up version by authorities.but i would like to say that its not surprise to me after i watched the film. the director of the film is Alison Klayman,she had lived in China from 2006 to 2010,she speaks Mandarine,i guess she knows China very well. in my point, depends on different education and culture background, westen people always look more honest than easten people,but when westen people are involved in esten culture deeply,they usually act more tricky than esten people.by this theory, i think that Alison has been taking advantage of Chinese sensitive semi-culture-semi-political topic to be her debut feature documentary.i found the trailer of this film,Alison is in there,i understand her expression through her face which is familiar to me and reminds me thinking about those foreign faces in Beijing culture network.
Ai weiwei has nothing special,to be honest to say that he just is a normal artist who has took a different way to promote his art works.he is a tricky person himself.i really can't understand the meaning of when artist put his middle finger in front of TIAN ANMEN square.or saying F*ck homeland often.he hates the authorites or hates his homeland even his compatriot？I have no idea!
Besides whenever he appears on media he always put his twitter on it and boasts that if you want to know truth just follow him.but the fact is that his twitter page is full of worldly-wise performances between him and his contributor!
For me,I prefer to concern his art simply!

Earrings obsession

More new earrings i have made recently,especially i had the event of 20+ inspirational earrings.For making earrings the most enjoyable point is that you could finish a pair of earrings within 5 mins or less if you already have the idea.and also the earrings are always a brief version of necklace and bracelet which you were planning to make.

I am so happy that i went to the PUCES POP with my lovely meetup friends yesterday.and i am glad that we all got quarries as well.i bought a pair of socks,hand cream and a very special Montreal map poster which delighted me very much.after i googled the artist of this poster i found more info about it.

this is what the artist presented: This is a two-colour silkscreened print, grey and black on a white 24" square sheet, with the image exactly 21". What is it? Montreal on 27 April 1967, the day Expo 67 opened to the public, and it's one of a series of prints made in April of 2012 showing my recently-ish adopted home city of Montreal. To the top right you can imagine Parc Lafontaine, to the top left the mountain, and the north border is around Rachel and Mont Royal.

How do you deal with loneness?

This morning i drove Shawn to airport at 4:45am,we were listening to our fave music and enjoy the first coffee of a day.we were talking about the weather,traffic,even last night talk show,it was like the other ordinary day.but i was in a little bit panic emotion which was about how could i deal with these 12 days without shawn.it sounds ridiculous that i am not a yong girl who can not stand with the temporary lovesickness,but the feeling has been existing till now.it was raining while i got back to home,i was driving along with 20 highway,it was dark everywhere.i hate drive in dark,it makes me feel that the road has no end.i passed through the second-hand market which we visit often and the park which we always enjoy picnic there. they were all  wrapped by the darkness and rain.its sad!
I was planning to nap for a while  when i snuggled in my bed.but its already 11:00am when i was waked up by ring.so i have stayed at home all day long and made a couple of pieces of jewelry,enjoyed my fave tv show.now i am sitting in my studio alone,thinking about how is Shawn doing.
Its still raining, i need to get up early tomorrow for my Fifth meetup event!

Puces pop of POP Montreal

Puces POP Craft & DIY Fair is taking place September 22nd-23rd(this weekend) at St-Michel Church and will feature the work of over 80 artisans and designers. I have never been to the craft festival in Montreal before,and i am a big fan of craft and DIY,so i am excited and can't wait to explore it.i am going to arrange a meetup event in my meetup group for this,hope my members would love to join me.i just grabed a picture of previous Puces POP from POP Montreal,it looks great obviously!

The way how people create

I would love to share this vedio,its from Selby film who directed this short film for ZARA,the most thing i like in this vedio is the atitude of Lucy and her boyfriend,i dont know if it is true or not,but at least they deliver this kind of feeling to me which is that you don't need rush through your life,we all live in the very intense city life,the only thing we can do is to control the speed of ourselves instead of going with the flow! in addition,i like lucy's jewelry style,these are inspiring for me.

I have been wearing sweater this week,its really unbelievable! its just September and it makes me realize that Summer is extreme short here! these bracelets are made by wood and silver plated ball chain,they are quite simple,pretty light and adorable,are perfect accessories for my autumn!

New arrival preview - 60 Days with Autumn

Autumn is just around the corner or she has been starting her work since two weeks agao,thats why i already have to wear my trench coat for walking outside after dinner. Anyway,i love autumn! I mentioned in last post that i will follow the plan which i made for my blog revolution.so this one is going to be the first step of it.Firstly,i am working on a new jewelry serie named <60 days with Autumn>. it was inspired by Marc Webb's movie"500 days of Summer".at the end of the movie,Tom had finished such a painful relationship with the beautiful and charming and stunning and attractive girl-"Summer",backed to focusing on his dream-to be an architect!by this time,he met the other girl,she looks smart and tasty and mature and of course beautiful as well.Her name is "Autumn"! Look,that's the point! summer is great,but when she left,you will meet Autumn,more elegant and peaceful and delightful autumn!
And then, why the number is 60,its based on my personal experience,i love autumn so much, but i don't like late autumn,its a very sentimental period between autumn and winter,particularly when you live in North of Canada!

To regard my blog as a periodical magazine

I have run a design magazine for more than one years.That magazine named CAN,means China Artistic Nominations,also literally means CAN.but we couldn't last even two years,so basiclly we were not CAN.but i got lot of experiences during that time and spent amazing time with my team as well.to be honest,i partly miss them.i dont want to explain why.just partly.

I didn't think too much when i started this blog,but as i have been gradually stepping  into this jewelry online business,i have to start a plan of it,i mean i need think more about it.and just like running a magazine,there are constant columns,and periodically publish.a semi commercial blog should have some rules.I list 3 categories here and from next week,these THREE gonna be the settled content of my blog.

First of all- New Arrival

As i have pushed myself to design and make more than 4 items a week,i would publish them on blog at every weekend.it would be one post! 
Secondly- Beal Style
Base on these 4 new items each week,i will look for other pieces to match my jewelry design.outfits,bags,boots or other stylish stuff,most of them could come from ETSY,or i just come across them by a little butique.because i will have 4 items or more,so i suppose there are at least 4 post for this category weekly.
Last of all- TaoBao
I have been surfing online for discovering terrific material for my jewelry making.i could show my quarries in this column.i think it would be very interesting when post a material and then turn it into a piece of jewelry and post it in New arrival.
Ok,These are my plan,i am going to carry out them!!

The Meetup Night

Last Tursday night,i had 3 lovely ladies in my studio,we spent a really wonderful two and half hours together. It was my third time meetup event,and since the first time, i have been falling in love with the night like that, ladies who love beading and jewelry making get together share with each other techniques and information,inspire each other,encourage each other.its amazing!! when i just built this group on meetup,i was hesitating. i kept asking myself: Am i ok to face the situation if there is no one join this group or if nobody would like come over after i schedule a meetup event.besides,its going to cost my $20 per month for being a organizer.is it worthy? but.............but i really don't want to stay in studio alone all day long. i love making friends,i love meeting new people.and for me,for a definitely new comer,this is the good way to get to know people here,to get through the culture shock period, and then i started! the fact is I AM RIGHT! Now,i already have 20 members and have organized 3 events,i gonna try more!

New meetup tomorrow

I am going to meet up my group members(4 lovely ladies)tomorrow at my studio to carry out the theme:Re-design your old jewelry with us!this will be the third meetup event,and i have absorbed millions of terrific information pieces,and got many wonderful inspirations from these lovely ladies!i am very grateful for all these beautiful things happened to me!

Celebrating my first sale

Bravo! i got my first sale on my Etsy shop:black eyes & Lemonade. I do know its from my close friend,and i have heard before many etsy sellers' first sale come from their friends or family as well. its a very important begining for me,i have been devoting my time and my passion,my thousands of dollars to this little online shop,i just wait for the sound every day.
when i came home two hours ago,my iphone shocked me with a very silvery and short sound,dang dang...., it was really pleasant to heard. and i was so excited,after that i found the order came from a very close friend of mine,i was warmed by this kindly surprise!thank you,my dear!i really feel grateful!!!kiss,kiss!

Pantone color guide for fall 2012

This is my first time hearing about Pantone color guide,i have never concerned some thing about color trend before.what i have done was just follow my sense of color. I mean people always have different favorite color at different age stages.when i was teenager,i really loved grey or black.and then i was enjoying white and light coffee in my twenties,right now,to be honest,i am in love with pink,shining blue,bright green,even bright purple!,i dont know what color would be my next favorite one,but of course i dont want to dominate my sense of color.but the Pantone color guide just gives me a different way to thinking about what is color,what is the meaning of my favorite color,even how can i use color to satisfy myself or my customers!

The day back to School!

Today is Sep 1st,from my 6 to 17 years old,this is the day when i came back to school,we used to clean our classroom,water the dying flowers and change seat to the one you want to share the whole new semester with.and of course got new books,and ended my slept in!!it sounds awesome!!i miss that days!
